Looking for a boat.

I start this adventure. Looking for a Boat.
I have two friends that both have large enough boats to be good blue water cruisers. I helped sail one of them up from. Alameda, Ca. to Portland, Or. a, Force 50. (I love this boat) The other friend. Has a 44 Cascade. I fine Vessel as well. But, I think this would end up in a mutiny.
I have been trying to get the friend that has the, Force 50. To take it on a cruise. So far I can not get him to commit. I have some money. And think it best spent to fund a cruise. Rather then to Buy a boat. and be short funded to cruise it. The problem is. How do I make more friends with boats. That want to cruise them. But are not inadequately funded? I posted an add on a crew list. in the mag. latitude 38. I have only received two reply's. One is coming up from South America, to Mexico. The other is still on the hard in Diego, and will be for a month or so.
So I will keep looking. Please email me with any float plans departing from the west coast. That you need an engineer on. (U.S.C.G. lic. Chief Engineer, 2000hp, limited oceans. with 17 years experience) I was going to get a 100 tonne masters. And still might.
